2007 & 2008 Showcased Projects Kitchen Remodel - "Dream Kitchen" Greenman Construction Inc. had the pleasure of remodeling this kitchen in Granite Bay. This 25 year old home was in dire need of updating as you can see in the before picture below. The remodel commenced with complete gutting of the kitchen and removal of ceiling beams. The ceiling was raised three feet to obtain twelve feet height. New windows, doors and cabinetry were installed. A custom built vent hood for the Wolf cooktop was constructed. To bring water and electrical to the newly constructed island, the concrete slab had to be jackhammered out. All new high-efficiency recessed lighting was utilized as well as dropped pendant lighting. The kitchen has under cabinet as well as above cabinet lighting, two dishwashers, built-in refridgerator, Wolf ovens & stovetop, dual zone wine cooler, trash compactor and a microwave drawer. The kitchen also displays beautiful granite slabs atop custom cherry cabinetry. The center island cabinetry is painted and glazed to set it apart from the perimeter cabinetry. This beautiful kitchen is accented with 45 degree placement of 18 inch porcelain tile, crown moulding and a custom backsplash that includes stainless steel accent tiles. |

Master Bath Remodel - "Elegant Granite" Polished granite makes for a sophisticated and contemporary master bath. Thanks to the proud owners in El Dorado Hills, we are showcasing what was formerly a modest master bathroom, transformed into a "master bath work of art". This bathroom was your typical, standard tract-home bathroom with white tile shower and counters. The shower lacked pizazz and had some minor water damage due to poor construction by the builder. After enlarging the shower and tub deck, a single slab of granite was installed to serve two purposes: A tub deck and a shower bench. This slab wraps around the tub and continues in the shower as a continuous curve that creates a dramatic and artistic look. Niche shelves were lined with the same granite as well as a continous border across the shower walls. We also installed the same granite on the countertops. 18" x 12" rectangular tile was used on the walls and placed in a brick pattern to give it that "Roman Bath" look. The shower has two valves, one to control the shower head and the other to control the hand-held shower fixture. Finally, a frameless glass surround was put in place to enhance the beauty of this master bathroom. |

650 Sq. Ft. Room Addition - "Host Your Guests in Luxury" This newer home in El Dorado Hills was the perfect size for a family of four but definitely in need of a "guest wing." In order to host guests in roomy luxury, Greenman Construction Inc. built a guest/media suite with wet bar made from cherry, granite and marble. The trim work in this addition is absolutely extraordinary. The coffered 12 foot ceiling with rope lighting adds so much elegance. Beyond the media room is a guest bedroom with private granite and tumbled marble bathroom. The oversized walk-in closet was designed to also accomodate exercise equipment. Eye catching upgrades were utilized such as 8 foot solid core doors, coffered ceilings and extra wide door casings and window sills. Solid walnut flooring was installed in the media room and throughout the living area of the existing home to make the addition seem as if it was always there. This addition includes some of the most advanced energy savings features offered today: Including motion sensing light switches, a tankless water heater dedicated for this bathroom and wet bar, and we brought this home's heating & air conditioning up to date with a 4 zone system and a whole house fan. The walls are 2x6 construction lending to thicker R-19 insulation. The high-tech media room displays a 50 inch 1080p plasma monitor that hangs alone on the wall - HDMI, component, and RG6 cables run 10 feet through the wall to the built-in cabinetry for a seemless and clean look of a theater. This project cost the homeowners approximately $200 per square foot, or $130,000. This particular neighborhood is valued over $250 per square foot, or $162,500. That translates into an instant $32,500 return on investment. Not to mention the value of living and hosting guests in such a beautiful extension of your home. |
